Under the direction of the Fire Marshall, the Fire Inspector is responsible for conducting fire inspections for the purpose of correcting potentially hazardous situations, and to comply with established regulatory practices. Employees in this class initiate and participate in various fire prevention programs for the purpose of providing education concerning principles and techniques for preventing fires and acting in fire situations.
