For our amazing team, we offer a comprehensive full-time benefits package, rewarding work, and opportunities for growth and advancement! nn A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PARENT CHILD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SPECIALIST n As a family support specialist, you are essential in providing expectant and new mothers supportive services for substance abuse. This is done through outreach, weekly home visitation case management 
 , and advocacy work for needed services. You effectively build trusting relationships with a caseload of 16 clients and their families. Evaluating cases is engaging with a substantial service plan that addresses social and health care needs as well as treatment needs for the parents. With excellent organizational skills, you administer ongoing assessments that monitor progress while documenting data. Maintaining knowledge of the community services available assists families with housing and treatment opportunities. You participate in community meetings where you collaborate with community partners. Phenomenal attention to detail and data analysis enables goal-based progress. As a family support specialist, you provide vital assistance that our community needs . nn QUALIFICATIONS OF A PARENT CHILD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SPECIALIST n n Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services related field n 4 years of experience working with at-risk children and families n Ability to conduct interviews with extreme sensitivity and confidentiality n Strong communication skills n n Life experience dealing with substance abuse issues and at least 1 year of experience working with parents that have drug and alcohol issues are highly preferred. Addiction and Prevention Services (AAPS) certified is a plus! Are you collaborative? Do you have excellent time management skills? Is organization your strong suit?
