Looking for a Dependable Team Member who is accountable for their actions, arrives to work on time, and exhibits the willingness to help others succeed! Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Starting wage: $14.00, increase available contingent on experience. Subistute and PRN Staff needed! Flexible Schedule! Assist individuals served in the development of personal, social, and communication skills. This is accomplished through group or individualized instruction conducted in the community and/or the developmental center. The treatment of individuals served with dignity and respect is a prime responsibility. Essential Functions: Develop, research, and follow all lesson plans and teaching objectives as outlined by the Day Coordinator. Ensure Lab Experiences are completed when appropriate. Complete all daily paperwork and documentation in a timely manner. Practice, monitor and ensure quality teaching of skills to persons served to include recognizing opportunities to teach, providing rationales, offering positive reinforcement and encouraging decision making skills by each individual. Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to include support and supervision during meal times, class times and transportation etc. As necessary, implement crisis intervention strategies including physical restraint, lifting and transferring of persons served, according to agency policy. Provide transportation of individuals served in agency vehicles as needed. Familiarize self with the rights of individuals served and ensure these rights are maintained at all times through appropriate verbal and physical interactions. Ensure individuals served are treated with dignity and respect to include using a respectful tone, giving full consideration and attention to each person served and providing opportunities and options that promote independence.
