Paralegal - Intellectual PropertyMichelin is hiring!- - - - - - - - - - - -WHAT WILL YOU DOIn compliance with the legal rules governing intellectual property rights:* Conduct research and analysis of patent and industrial design and trademark applications to ensure they are complete and accurate, including conducting searches to identify potential issues, and analyzing data to identify trends and generate reports and assist in the management of the intellectual property portfolio.* Assist with drafting and filing patent/trademark applications and file the applications with the appropriate authorities.* Collaborate with attorneys to manage legal risks with intellectual property by identifying potential legal risks and developing/implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.* Ensure all responsibilities are met and documents are filed accurately and on time: This involves handling a sophisticated calendar associated with patent and trademark applications, ensuring that all documents are filed accurately and on time, and presenting with lawyers/engineers about the status of their applications.* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all intellectual property assets by maintaining our database of assets such as patents, trademarks, industrial designs, trade secrets, contracts, and other proprietary information.* Review and handle invoices from vendors and outside counsel and handle annuity payment invoices.* Provide support for to prepare for litigation related to intellectual property disputes, conducting research to support legal arguments, drafting legal documents, and providing support during trial.WHAT WILL YOU BRING* BS Degree in paralegal/legal studies or equivalent work experience/training.* Validated experience in paralegal role, legal research, or similar legal environment to be able to analyze sophisticated legal documents and identify key issues. Intellectual Property experience is helpful.* The ability to interact/communicate in a professional manner with lawyers, engineers, partners, customers, and colleagues including the interpersonal skills to show appreciation, use emotional intelligence to understand, resolve disputes expertly, and to practice active listening skills.* Proven attention to detail and data accuracy in previous work to identify errors or inconsistencies in legal documents.* Effective skills to objectively examine data, recognize patterns, and make connections between seemingly unrelated ideas or concepts.* Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.Inspire Motion for Life: Apply Today!As the leading mobility company, we work with tires, around tires and beyond tires to enable Motion for Life.
