To learn more about our company, please visit our website at https://www.wc-health.com/ Objective: The Insurance/ Prior Authorization Request (PAR) Specialist will work with insurance companies to ensure all served in our programs are approved for clinical services and have appropriate Prior Authorizations submitted timely and accurately. Essential Functions: Complete PAR's (Prior Authorization Requests) timely and accurately. Track submission dates, expiration dates and other pertinent timeframes to ensure no lapses or gaps occur in approvals for services. Communicate with service providers to ensure all necessary information/documentation has been received for complete submission. Communicate with 3rd-party payers/ Insurance Companies (Anthem, NV Medicaid, Medicare, etc.) to ensure coordination/ authorization of services is obtained. Assist with the appeals process as necessary, for any denials received. Track and complete re-authorizations, concurrent reviews and/or ongoing certifications for services for all receiving treatment Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent Writing Skills Communication Skills Customer Service Skills Excellent Typing Skills Good Time Management Skills and ability to Prioritize, is a must Ability to problem-solve and respond quickly, and able to multi-task efficiently Ability to utilize technology (laptop, email, telephone, Google drive, and Microsoft office, Insurance Software and Portals, etc.). Ability to gather information and summarize information received to make a clinical case for services to be approved Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to get the job done Position Type: Full-time Education and Experience: Minimum education BA/BS, in a related field, preferred Two (2) Years of experience in PAR works in the Healthcare Services Industry Previous work in a Behavioral Health/Medical Setting, use of Medical Terminology and the ability to convey clinical information Job Posted by ApplicantPro
