If you want to work for a fun, safe company apply today with AWT Construction Group, Inc. As a Painting Construction Foreman you will lead a team to complete job tasks as required is safe manner. Working with the Project Manager you will provide direction to your team, schedule tasks, ordering materials and assist with the completion of the work. Responsibilities Include: Layout, perform, and supervise work of a crew of journey level workers in the painting trade Mix and apply paints or other surface coatings to buildings and decking. Manage personnel effectively and efficiently Schedule delivery of materials and equipment Assist the Project Manager with schedules and job site assessments Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance Track and record all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day Trains crew members to increase production efficiency and develop growth opportunities Experience: Minimum three (3) years painting construction site experience with a construction company Skills and Qualifications Include: Knowledge of methods, procedures, equipment, and materials used in the painting trade Ability to lead others and manage crews Able to be certified in first aid Effective written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic Bilingual (Spanish) Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required) Physcial Demands: • Hearing and speaking to exchange information.• Seeing to perform painting duties.• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects up 100pounds with assistance.• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.• Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.• Climbing ladders and working from heights.• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
