PA / NP Seeking experienced, energetic, upbeat, collaborative person to join our patient services team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants - a leading provider of gastroenterology medical services in the area.At Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, we provide exceptional care to our patients, but we also extend that philosophy of caring to our team. JOB OVERVIEW: Provide gastroenterological care to patients through initial inpatient consultations and follow ups and office visits Obtain detailed history and physical examination Curate differential diagnoses, order appropriate diagnostic tests, and interpret results Prescribe appropriate treatments and order necessary inpatient procedures Make thorough, accurate, and concise entries into medical EHR Ensure patients are adequately prepped and cleared for procedures Triage new consultations and update hospital census/billing documents Respond to correspondence from hospitalists, consultants, ER, and transfer center Communicate with family members for collateral history, obtain consent for procedures, and to update them on patient's status Explain test results and procedures with patients and their families Strategize and coordinate path for additional outpatient care Manage workflow in the hospital setting so physicians can devote time to procedures and higher level activities Communicate with physicians for patient presentations and to alert them of critical findings Treat patients with dignity, without bias, and with the highest standard of care JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Current NYS license and certification Current BLS Certification required Prior office, hospital and gastroenterology experience a plus All employees at AGC receive the following benefits: Competitive compensation Generous vacation & sick time Health, dental and life insurance Health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts Voluntary supplemental benefits options 401k participation with automatic employer 3% contribution Profit sharing plan Corporate employee discount programs For information on Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, including more information on employee benefits and our company culture, visit our websiteAlbany Gastroenterology Consultants is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
