Overview The Summer Associate Graduate Intern will work in a flexible hybrid manner and report to leadership at our Vienna, VA campus. This role will be a member of the Marketing BI Data Visualization & Analytics team - a diverse group of analysts focused on understanding the impact of marketing strategies to our members and the business. Our group serves as subject matter experts and business intelligence consultants in marketing campaign measurement and provides in-depth analyses, specifically through the development of BI solutions, reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and recommendations that will ultimately improve the member experience. The team collaborates closely with various departments across the organization to ensure our business intelligence deliverables provide our stakeholders with the data, metrics and insights that will fuel their decision-making. It will be essential for the team member in this position be an adept data interpreter/translator, curious problem-solver and storyteller. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who is able to stay current on new technology and best practices for producing dashboards, reporting and analyses. The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later. Responsibilities The Summer Associate will work on a 12-week project such as developing new use cases for tools or features associated with data visualization, supporting, and expanding Marketing operating procedures, exploring enhancements for existing marketing automation tools, identifying industry best practices for AI, and/or advising on new marketing personalization strategies. Project is subject to change based on department needs and enterprise focus. Project topics may be subject to change based on business needs. Previous Summer Associate Project topics include Conceptual Roadmap for Paid Media Channels using Context Weighting Via Pega Systems, Testing Adaptive Model Capabilities in Pega's Next Best Interaction, Marketing Operational Reporting & Power BI Dashboard Development, FinTech Best Practices Playbook, and Insights Creation and Prioritization Framework. Qualifications The ideal candidate is an analytical storyteller who knows how to communicate their message across multiple departments & teams (regardless of title or tenure). Currently pursuing a graduate (MS, MBA, etc.) or PhD level degree in Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, or other related degree Familiarity with SQL or other data management & extraction tools Managing and designing reporting via data visualization tools (preferably Tableau and/or PowerBI experience), including generating data from single or multiple systems. Understanding of Agile and/or dashboard development cycles Experience with process management and process automation (Excel, Databases, etc.) Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (direct team, business unit, and/or cross-department) Excellent communication skills Excellent presentation and story-telling skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Understanding of general Marketing concepts, measurement & tracking Basic knowledge of financial services Experience developing business process, definitions, KPIs, and/or optimization Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports and analyses High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Location: Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 | 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr Pensacola, FL 32526 | 141 Security Dr. Winchester, VA 22602 Navy Federal is now hybrid!
