We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer III for the EPASS GB contract, supporting the Air Force Division. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Within the AFLCMC/HI Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), the MROi Maintenance Financials (MMF) program adds financial capabilities to the new MROi Logistics Transformation program. It becomes part of the existing Business Acquisition Category (BCAT) I or a high-value BCAT II MROi program but is independently funded from HQ AFMC/FM. MRO will provide Air Force Material Command (AFMC) and the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) with an integrated capability for planning, scheduling, and executing organic Depot Maintenance to support agile planning, optimized workload assignment and resource allocation, and integrated quality control. Maintenance Financials adds complementary financial capabilities that will become the foundation for the end-state vision of financial management activities as it relates to the Air Force Working Capital Fund (AFWCF). MROi Maintenance Financials requires support to develop, coordinate, staff, and execute the full range of acquisition documentation, as well as other artifacts and exhibits to meet statutory and regulatory requirements and mandates for BCAT compliance of Business Systems. The MMF RDT&E efforts are focused on modernizing and transforming the Air Force Depot capability and providing FIAR/FISCAM financial compliance. LOCATION: Wright-Patterson AFB (Dayton, OH) JOB STATUS: Full-time TRAVEL: Less than 10% DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS The successful candidate possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface) Familiarity with DoDI 5000.75 for Business Enterprise Systems – Desirable Working knowledge of the Agile Development Methodology – Highly Desirable Knowledge or experience with Cloud Computing technologies – Highly Desired Strong experience and working knowledge with DevSecOps – Required Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite – Highly Desired Strong experience related to design and implementation of Web based Business IT systems Highly proficient with computers and software applications to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), expert attention-to-detail & highly organized Strong verbal and written communication skills are required Experience implementing Oracle ERP Solutions - Desirable Familiarity with DoD (DISA) Information Technology Infrastructure Requirements – Highly Desired SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret (Required) and U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants EDUCATION: Minimum Recommended Education and Experience: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD. CERTIFICATIONS: CompTIA Security+ CE Certification – Highly Desirable Certified SCRUM Master (other Agile certifications accepted) – Highly Desirable OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: This position will function as the DevSecOps Lead for the MROi program and requires a candidate with high energy, initiative and drive to help make the MROi program successful. The successful candidate in this position will need to be a self-starter and willing to reach out to other program team members and/or outside stakeholders to accomplish goals with little direction. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of systems engineering to the acquisition process. The individual shall be able to: Function as the DevSecOps Lead for the MROi Program Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepares management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/ initiatives, including but not limited to: acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.
