Overview Full or Part-time, unpaid internship for an active undergraduate or graduate level student. The successful candidate will work in-person at the Normal, IL office and in the Bloomington-Normal community. In the application, please indicate your preferred internship period (Summer, Fall, or Spring semester). Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois. We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. Responsibilities The intern will assist the BN Parents’ Program Director and BN Parents’ Project Coordinator with: coordination of training events for the coalition and community, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining social media efforts (Facebook, Twitter and website updates), newsletter development, community outreach, material prep and production, and research on evidence based practices. Qualifications Applicants must be self-directed and willing to engage community stakeholders in prevention efforts aimed at reducing underage drinking and other drug use in our community.
