Outreach Specialist Part Time Parker Jewish Institute's newest grant-funded program, the COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Uptake Initiative, is seeking a Part Time Outreach Specialist to join this essential program, aimed at providing increased vaccine-related services to historically underserved communities across Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, including the elderly population.This is an exciting professional opportunity to play a key role in a grant-funded health initiative that will provide essential services to the communities we serve. This is a 1-year program.As Outreach Specialist, you will support the program director by coordinating and developing educational opportunities/programs, increase the visibility of the program in order to educate professionals and consumers about the project, and generate referrals. The outreach specialist will attend professional and community events to spread the word, and provide assessment, planning, advocacy and follow-up; networking with community agencies and developing outreach contacts in support of clients. Position Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Prior experience in an outreach or community health role Prior experience working with the elderly population a plus Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Access to reliable transportation; position will require outreach/travel in the field Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences Job Posted by ApplicantPro
