Job Title: Outreach Coordinator (Dari, Pashto) Work Location: Sacramento, CA. Requires some travel throughout the Sacramento Valley / Central California region. Term: Full-time, Non-Exempt, occasional evening and weekends required Pay Range: $22 - $28/hour commensurate with skills and experience` Reports to : Special Projects Director and Special Projects Manager Requirements : Proficiency in Dari and/ or Pashto languages. Must have authorization to work in the United States and proof of COVID-19 Vaccination/Boosters. About the role : CAIR Sacramento Valley/Central California is looking for passionate and talented individuals to work with us as part-time Outreach Coordinators to support the Dari and Pashto-speaking community. Are you passionate about community outreach, legal services, and serving the Afghan community? Do you enjoy interacting with community members and supporting important causes? Join one of the most dynamic teams serving the American Muslim community. Position is both remote and in-person based on needs and activities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Help support office outreach and engagement campaigns including but not limited to remote or in-person workshops and stakeholder visits in different community settings such as centers and mosques, ethnic grocery stores etc. Support and participate in community-building programming such as community listening sessions and interactive webinars. Attend virtually or in-person any informational and training workshops. QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in Dari and/ or Pashto languages required. Strong interpersonal and communications skills and ability to maintain a positive, personable, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude. Demonstrated commitment to community services and legal support Ability to take initiative, stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and work independently as well as within a team to meet goals. Proficiency to learn new software systems as needed. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & LOCATION Outreach Coordinators will report to the Special Projects Director, as well as work closely with Outreach, Advocacy and Management.
