$2500 Sign-On Bonus ***Job Description:****Frito-Lay's Regional Driver Apprenticeship is a position that is designed for a prospective candidate with a valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A), with little to no experience operating a Class-A CDL motor vehicle. The program includes a minimum of 10 weeks of paid training, with the potential for additional weeks. Upon successful completion of the program, it is intended that the employee will transition into a Regional Driver position.**If you're ready to begin your career as a Frito-Lay OTR Driver and commit to successful completion of the Truck Driving CDL program, Frito-Lay will cover some or all the costs associated with the training program. There may also be training pay available during your program enrollment.****Minimum Requirements:***- *Authorized to work in the United States permanently*- *Able to work on weekends and holidays*- *Capable of lifting 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation*- *Able to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation*- *Capable of repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling products with or without a reasonable accommodation*- *Able to sit for extended periods, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation*- *With a CDL, able to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor-trailer for extended periods, up to 11 hours per day, with or without reasonable accommodation****Responsibilities:***- *Safely operate a tractor/trailer (usually an automatic Volvo, international or freight liner; diesel/natural gas) and transport products to and from specified destinations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations*- *Load and unload trailers manually or using equipment such as pallets, carts, or two-wheelers*- *Transport products to designated locations such as grocery stores, manufacturing facilities, storage units, and more*- *Obtain signatures, pick up returns, complete logs, and review paperwork related to deliveries*- *Utilize electronic logging devices such as tablets or onboard computers****Key Qualities:***- *Safety Focused: practice defensive driving to maintain a strong reputation as transportation professionals on the road*- *Coachable and Communicative: open to feedback and willing to cooperate for safety and efficiency*- *Flexibility: willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays*- *Self-Motivated: known for being a hard worker who gets the job done*- *Attention to Detail: keen eye for accuracy in reviewing manifests, counting cases, and using visual aids****Benefits:***- *Competitive salaries*- *Phenomenal benefits*- *Opportunities for advancement*- *Great work environment****How to Apply:***Our application takes 10-15 minutes to finish on any device.
