Requisition No: 827057 Agency: Department of Health Working Title: OPS SENIOR CLERK - 64853229 Pay Plan: Temp Position Number: 64853229 Salary: $15.00 / hour Posting Closing Date: 05/02/2024 Total Compensation Estimator Tool The incumbent in this position is anticipated to work an average of forty hours per week. Your Specific Responsibilities: In this position you will provide excellent customer service and provide clerical duties for the refugee health program. This clerk will contact refugee health eligible individuals informing them to present in the office with their eligibility documents, accurately register clients in FLSHOTS and HMS, scan eligibility and medical documents, schedule refugee health client appointments, and call refugee health clients to remind them of their appointments. This is a challenging position and is critical to our refugee health program operation. There is a steep learning curve, even for someone who is familiar with general DOH-Sarasota clerical responsibilities, as familiarity with refugee program eligibility guidelines, and data entry into FL SHOTS and HMS are required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess excellent customer service skills, possess strong data entry skills; possess excellent assessment skills, including the ability to comprehend complex eligibility requirements; possess the ability to organize workload to meet deadlines; possess the ability to solve problems creatively; possess the ability to operate various office machines such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, etc. Qualifications: Minimum – High school diploma or GED Valid Florida driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation One to three years of clerical work experience College education of 30 semester hours and/or vocational training of 720 classroom hours can be substituted for each year of desired work experience English Spanish bilingual Preferred – Experience with customer service, data entry, and scheduling Florida Department of Health Mission, Vision, and Values: Mission: To protect, promote & improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county & community efforts.
