Primary Role The Operator:Maintenance Mechanic I may be assigned to perform any responsibility that lieswithin the capability of the employee based on experience, knowledge, qualifications, andtraining. Qualifications and Requirements The Operator:Maintenance Mechanic I must possess a working knowledge of all facets of watertreatment operations including hydraulic, chemical and electrical equipment and processes, inaddition to a thorough understanding of the distribution system network including, but notlimited to, gradients, capacities, interconnections, mapping, service territory and facilitylocations, to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the water treatment facilityand related appurtenances. The individual must possess a working knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and safetypractices, as well as state and federal regulations applicable to area of responsibility and maybe required to become a certified Emergency Responder. The Operator:Maintenance Mechanic I must be capable of operating equipment and vehiclesnecessary for the completion of assignments and must possess and maintain a valid New JerseyDrivers' License. The Operator:Maintenance Mechanic I will be required to pass a qualification examinationdeveloped by the Company prior to the conclusion of the qualification period. The Operator Maintenance Mechanic I will also be required to attain a T:2 License in accord with theeducational and operational criteria established by the State of New Jersey.
