Location Atlanta, GA Department Information The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) is highly interdisciplinary and covers broadly all fields of Earth and space science. EAS hosts a range of undergraduate degrees, including B.S. programs in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS), Solid Earth and Planetary Sciences (SEP), and Environmental Science (ENVS), and hosts a distinct interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Ocean Science and Engineering in collaboration with the School of Biological Sciences and Environmental Engineering. Job Summary The School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) (https://eas.gatech.edu/home) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure-track lecturer position in Environmental Science and related fields. This position vacancy is an open rank announcement. The final job offer will be dependent on candidate qualifications in alignment with Non-tenure Track Academic Faculty ranks as outlined in of the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook ( ) . The lecturer will coordinate the Introductory Environmental Science (EAS 1600) lab that serves -600 students each academic year and teach related environmental science courses. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Develop, coordinate, and maintain laboratory exercises and equipment for the introductory environmental science course (EAS 1600). Supervise teaching assistants for introductory environmental science course each semester. Provide direct lecture and laboratory instruction to undergraduate students in an introductory environmental science course (EAS 1600). Provide instruction for other environmental related science courses depending on candidate's expertise and curricular needs. These can include but are not limited to EAS 4410: Climate and Global Change, EAS 3110: Energy, Environment, & Society, or new course creation. Assist with environmental capstone course. Required Qualifications This position vacancy is an open rank announcement.
