On-Demand Shuttle Driver - Part-Time / Casual Openings Location: Edmonton, ABAre you looking for a position that offers flexibility? Look no further! PWTransit Canada is currently seeking motivated part-time/casual On-Demand Shuttle Drivers to join our team. PWTransit's On-Demand Shuttle program will transport residents of designated neighbourhoods in Edmonton to ETS transit hubs/LRT stations. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing superior customer service and demonstrating strong communication skills, patience, maturity, and initiative. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Transport passengers safely and according to established policy Interface with On-Demand software via on-board tablet, which provides real-time instructions to drivers Maintain radio contact with base and use proper communications protocol Operate the shuttle vehicles in a safe manner in all weather/road conditions Provide information to and assist passengers in a courteous manner Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems Report vehicle maintenance issues, passenger emergencies, and schedule concerns Conduct pre-and-post trip checks of vehicles prior to/after their use Complete various forms of paperwork, as required Requirements: Valid Class 4 driver's license Clean driver's abstract Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check Negative drug and alcohol testing Strong knowledge of City of Edmonton roadways Physical ability to push/pull wheelchairs up and down a ramp or onto lift Organized, punctual, and reliable Calm, upbeat, and helpful manner Excellent driving skills and habits Position Details: 8 - 24 hours per week; shifts cover absences of full-time employees for vacation, illness etc. Competitive wages Paid training Part-time/casual drivers require the flexibility to be on-call, report for shifts with little notice, and work evenings and weekends when required.
