Are you an experienced and skilled occupational therapist who is looking for a new challenge and opportunity to lead and develop a team of professionals? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for our band 7 occupational therapist role. We are looking for a band 7 occupational therapist to join the Surrey and Susinteraction Healthcare NHS Trust teams, working across different settings Co E, rehab, medical, neurology and cardiology. You will be responsible for: Leading, managing, and supervising a team of occupational therapists and therapy assistants, ensuring they deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based practice Providing specialist occupational therapy backssment, intervention, and evaluation for patients with complex physical, mental, and social needs Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to identify and achieve patient-centred goals and outcomes Providing specialist advice, guidance, and training to patients, carers, staff, and external agencies on occupational therapy issues Contributing to service development, audit, research, and quality improvement activities Maintaining professional standards and competencies in line with the HCPC code of conduct and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A degree or diploma in occupational therapy and current HCPC registration A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a specialist area of practice A comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice, as well as relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines A strong commitment to person-centred care, recovery, and social inclusion Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills A high level of professionalism, autonomy, and accountability A willingness to learn new skills and embrace change.
