Must have 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience. Previous teaching/educational experience is preferred.General SummaryFull time advanced medical surgical nursing instructor to teach practical and associate degree nursing students primarily on the Kearney Center. Must have ability to demonstrate and apply effective communication skills. Faculty expectations include but not limited to, writing curriculum, facilitation of student learning experiences, advising and participating in college committees. A Bachelor's Degree of Nursing is required, a Masters in Nursing with emphasis in nursing education is preferred. Candidates with a BSN will need to enroll into a MSN program within 1 year of hire with expectation to graduate in 5 years.GED Instructor (Part - Time)ColumbusBachelor's Degree required with at least 1 year of experience preferred. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Requires excellent communication and problem solving skills as well as genuine interest in adult learners. Formal teaching experience not required but helpful. Must be proficient in reading, writing, math and English grammar at the high school level. Computer proficiency is essential.General SummaryIndividual will teach adults 16 years and older in GED® Preparation, including Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science and computer skills. Math classes are held on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and Reading classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Columbus Family Resource Center in Columbus.
