We are searching for a full timeUrgent Care Nurse Practitioner for our new West Haven CT. center, opening inFebruary. The NP will assist in the care of patients and assist in directingstaff in the support of care of patients. Centers are opened 7 days per weekfrom 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday – Friday and 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Full time andPart time openings available, 36 hour work weeks and full Benefits and Competitive compensation. Qualifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner License Some Urgent Care experiencerequired Current CPR certification Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Perform triage of newly registeredpatients Direct patients to availableexamination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initialcomplaint Collect biological specimens andperform testing when requested Ensure each room is cleaned aftereach patient encounter Wound care when indicated Perform Electrocardiograms whenindicated Work in conjunction with thecenter administrator to monitor medical supplies Work in conjunction with thenursing staff to call back patients to ensure patient satisfaction Assist physician with patient carewhen requested Sterilization of all medicalinstruments after use Interview clinical staff Ensure center compliance withmedical protocols Assist medical director with theproper functioning of laboratory – including running controls, proficiencytesting, trouble shooting instrument problems Scheduling of nursing staff to ensurecoverage during all hours of operation Other duties and responsibilitiesas assigned.
