The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Director, Health Services Adult Emergency & interactionual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence and Manager of Patient Care Education Services. In collaboration with the Program Team, the incumbent is responsible for: Educational program development for Nursing staff including R. N. s, L. P. N. s, R. P. N. s. physicians, managers. Teaching and learning activities. Nursing practice standards. Patient education development. Professional and Self Development. Note : The priority and percentages of each of the above functions will vary throughout the year and possibly from year to year. Experience Must have a minimum of four years nursing experience in one of these relevant areas (Emergency, Mental Health, ICU, Women’s Health, STI Reproductive Health Counseling, or Specialty Counseling) with demonstrated competency in a defined area of clinical nursing practice required. Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is required. Previous experience teaching forensic education is required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing required.
