The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Manager of Patient Care, the incumbent functions as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and provide clinical management to patients with complex health issues within the defined patient population and acts as a resource person to other healthcare professionals and to the community. The Nurse Clinician utilizes advanced skills and knowledge and performs at a high level of independence as a clinical practitioner, leader, consultant and educator. Practices are in accordance with employer policy and professional standards. The Nurse Clinician supports families in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut and Saskatchewan as required. Experience Minimum three years recent clinical experience in relevant nursing specialty required. Minimum three years recent experience with pediatric pain backssment required. Experience caring for patients receiving opioid analgesia via continuous infusion or PCA required. Experience caring for patients with regional anesthesia preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred.
