The CNA, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, assists in providing patient care, and maintaining records and a clean environment. Experience required;Mental Health preferred. Must be certified with MS State Board of Nursing CPR certified Position: Full Time & PRN Skills and Responsibilities Provides care appropriate to the age of the population served Provides proper personal hygiene and care to all patients. Accurately measures and records vital signs. Accurately measures and records weights and heights. Accurately measures and records intake and output. Recognizes abnormal findings and reports such findings appropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of proper transfer techniques. Consistently provides preventative skin care measures and reports abnormalities to nursing staff. Provides meal assistance to patients as needed. Properly collects specimens as directed. Utilizes special beds appropriately and triggers alarms on all "high risk for falls" patients. Keep patient rooms neat and tidy. Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. Will act as safety sitter as needed. Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I. Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
