Description Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 diverse employees, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.Summary:Using cardiovascular imaging equipment and standards, the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist prepares and performs non-invasive diagnostic procedures and tests used to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data under close-to-moderate supervision. By interviewing and preparing patients with in-depth understanding of the equipment and procedures, this role ensures effective, safe use of this equipment and drives optimal care outcomes.Responsibilities:* Performs and reports results of non-invasive echocardiographic diagnostic procedures.* Ensures positive patient identification. Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment for all, including the application of standard precautions and principles of infection control.* Reads, comprehends and transcribes imaging order, engaging with physician when order is unclear, complex or warrants deeper review.* Interviews patients to understand risk factors and prior medical history components that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety. * Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters using extensive knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and the capabilities/limitations of both imaging hardware and specific imaging sequences.* Measure, evaluate and record gradients using pressure measurements recorded with Doppler ultrasound system. * Review and chart record of care into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Other information:QUALIFICATIONSRequired* Registered as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS, RDCS) through CCI or ARDMS.* Education or graduation from an accredited cardiovascular sonography program.* BLS certification* Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) toolsPreferred* Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT, RVS)* Degree in Allied Health field* Experience with EPIC and CV-Synapse EMR tools Job Details Legal Employer: Pardee - HCHCEntity: Pardee UNC Health CareOrganization Unit: Pardee Cardiology Brevard Work Type: Full TimeStandard Hours Per Week: 40.00Work Assignment Type: OnsiteWork Schedule: Day JobLocation of Job: PARD PTExempt From Overtime: Exempt: NoPDN-9b468d73-f55d-4a8f-b65e-875fb24b021e
