Position Summary The Network Engineer III position is responsible for overall telecom Service Design and Service Delivery. They will work with the Atlantech Online executive team, technical leadership, sales, support and the customers to ensure that services provided meet the needs of the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lead Service Design and Service Transition processes. Be responsible for the internal and external success of the telecom services within Atlantech Online's portfolio including, but not limited to, Service Availability and Service Capacity. Participate in Service Strategy, Business Development, Sales, and Customer acquisition activities. Drive Continual Service Improvement, Service Reliability Engineering, Automation, Security, Privacy, and Compliance initiatives. Provide Technical Leadership and Architectural support for Service Management, Service Operations, Service Reliability Engineering, and related infrastructure activities. Occasional local travel required. Take part in 24/7 on-call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned Note : This position is 100% onsite at Atlantech Online's office in Silver Spring, MD. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree; relevant college experience required CCNP-SP, JNCIP-SP, or other comparable network certifications, are required COVID-19 vaccine is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for those with disabilities or sincerely-held religious beliefs. 7 or more years of relevant experience; Minimum of 7 years of experience in advanced network and voice operations and design Minimum of 7 years of experience with Cisco and/or Juniper Switching, Routing, and Security products in a Telecom Service Provider environment Minimum of 7 years of experience with internal (IS-IS/OSPF) and external (BGP) routing protocols in a Telecom Service Provider environment as well as managing peering relationships Minimum of 7 years of experience deploying telecom services such as VoIP, QoS, DIA, MPLS, VLANs, DWDM, etc. 5+ years of project management experience Demonstrated experience with telecom Service Design and large network architectural support Demonstrated Sales Engineering experience Proven project management skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with Service Management and Governance/Compliance frameworks such as ITIL, NIST 800-53, etc. Access to reliable transportation required. Candidates with a valid driver's license and knowledge of the DC Metro area are preferred. Excellent time management, analytical skills, attention to detail and technical writing proficiency
