Network Engineer II with Security Clearance

Overview/ Job Responsibilities We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support the meshONE-T programThis position is available at either the Denver, CO or Colorado Springs, CO Sev1Tech office.--- Plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer networks, services, policies and procedures across local area networks, wide area networks, and intranets, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support--- Troubleshoots network issues--installs and upgrades network equipment and software--- Creates and maintains documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records--- Establishes and documents network technical support processes and procedures--- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications--- Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports--- Communicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity, network, operations, and Program Management teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems components--- Support of all updates to all documents when there is change in the transport design and/or technologies and collaborating with all stakeholders to test all related systems and processes to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or security--- Provide design and architecture recommendations to enhance and improve network performance Salary: 115k (negotiable) Minimum Qualifications--- At least 5-8 years of network engineering experience of network experience: functions and concepts of a wide area network, OSI network layers, designing LAN/WAN's and network architecture and design--- Experience with routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to the CCNP level--- IP experience (to include sub-netting and routing), IPV4/IPV6--- Current Security + certification--- Some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder) * Less than 10% travel out of state * Non-supervisory position SECURITY CLEARANCE: Current active Secret clearance and eligible for a TS/SCI Desired Qualifications--- Experience with NetBrain, Network Services Orchestrator, Solarwinds, Infoblox, and ITSM--- Knowledge of/experience with space mission systems--- Familiarity with VM, Linux, and/or Windows environments--- Experience working in Department of Defense or with Department of Defense or Federal contracts About Sev1Tech LLC Founded in 2010, Sev1Tech provides IT, engineering, and program management solutions deliverySev1Tech focuses on providing program and IT support services to critical missions across Federal and Commercial ClientsOur Mission is to Build better companiesEnable better governmentProtect our nationBuild better humans across the countryJoin the Sev1Tech family where you can achieve great accomplishments while fostering a satisfying and rewarding career progressionPlease apply directly through the website at: https://careers-sev1tech.icims.com/ #joinSev1tech For any additional questions or to submit any referrals, please contact: Sev1Tech is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consi-deration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
