We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Network Coordinator, on a 7- month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £19.00 per hour PAYE Responsibilities: To positively engage with, listen to and communicate effectively with all our customers and stakeholders. To work together with 1) colleagues across the Service and Group, 2) external works and activities promoters, agencies and service users to develop strong working relationships. To promote and raise the profile of the Highways & Transportation Service and the Network Management Group and the range of services it provides. To backss and review temporary traffic light requests for compliance and potential impact on the network, approving, rejecting or recommending alterations to the request as necessary, to ensure expeditious movement of traffic. To ensure that income and charges from issuing Permits for utility works and the inspection, monitoring and regulation of highways activities is maximised To provide network management services within the remit of the role to achieve effective, clearly defined and measurable outcomes for service users, residents and businesses, and ensure that income is for services provided is maximised Qualifications & Experiences: Relevant New Roads and Street Works qualification Experience of supervising and motivating staff to achieve high standards Experience of managing and working with multi-disciplinary professionals to coordinate works and activities on the highway Evidence of successful partnership working to deliver outcomes Experience of working with the public and elected Members Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
