Description:
Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related discipline from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant technical certifications desired but not required. Job Duties: Under close supervision, this position coordinates and organizes computer network activities by performing the following duties. Manages network technical resources including overall network performance, hard drive capacity, and network printing. Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security. Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up-to-date in a network log. Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware, print devices, and software as required. Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Assists with routine backup, restoring, and archiving of all network data. Stays abreast of evolving technology by researching trade journals and technical publications. Assists with analyzing requirements and purchasing software and hardware equipment. Provides users with network technical support and training as needed.
