We are looking for dedicated, caring Neonatologist Nurse Practitioners to provide medical care for premature and critically ill newborn infants. The NNP will work as lead to a multidisciplinary team in our Level II NICU to ensure newborn infants receive the proper treatment for growth and healing. NNP responsibilities: Act as support to neonatologists in care of newborn infants in the NICU Assessing, diagnosing, and carrying out care for at risk newborn infants. Designing treatment plans for infants staying in the NICU Ordering and performing necessary medical tests and procedures, up to and including neonatal resuscitation. Educating and supporting parents and guardians in the care of their infant Medication management in partnership with the neonatologist Requirements: A Master of Science in Nursing. Certifications as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Two years NICU experience Strong communication and leadership skills About Vista Health System: Vista Medical Center is a 228-bed Level II Trauma Center with a Level II NICU, located in the northern suburbs of Chicago along Lake Michigan.
