IT Field Service Technician JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Immediate need for an energetic, driven, professional, motivated and results-oriented Field Service Technician with PC/IT tech experience, preferably in a field environment and, preferably, recent & related technical education and/or relevant industry certifications. ***REQUIRES a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and ability to pass a full background check (criminal, driving, drug screen, etc.)*** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the installation, move, add, change and repair of IT equipment at various locations within assigned territory/region Perform work on products and services of low to medium high complexity, specifically end user devices and network equipment provide Make minor repairs and replace components on Tier I and II equipment such as PCs, workstations and peripherals, printers. Assist in site preparation, including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment Respond to all customer concerns or problems by resolving them or by escalating them to the proper; ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved Provide high levels of customer satisfaction Perform periodic preventative maintenance on assigned products; diagnose problems, make repairs, and replace components May be dispatched daily on a call-by-call basis or may establish his/her own daily schedule on the basis of automated reports May require prolonged local travel, carrying and lifting tool kit/parts of varying weights (1- 50 lbs.) May require bending/squatting, walking/standing /sitting for prolonged periods QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in a related field of study, Bachelor's preferred A+, CCNA or other similar/relevant industry certifications strongly desired 1-3 years of related PC technical support or similar experience, preferably in a customer/field environment PC hardware and software maintenance and support Experience on maintaining computer hardware (Desktops, Servers, peripherals), routers, networks, switches, hubs required Experience on Windows XP, Windows 2000 operating systems required Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrate ability to solve a wide range of technical problems of diverse scope and moderate complexity Strong skills and proficiency level in troubleshooting, support, analysis and resolution High level of technical aptitude High level of personal integrity, innovative approach to problem solving and commitment to quality Ability to pick up new skills quickly, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines and produce high quality work in an extremely fast-paced and high demand environment Must be highly reliable, dependable and punctual with a stable work history Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass comprehensive background check including credit check, criminal, driving record, and drug screen ***ADDITIONAL DETAILS***: Position will be Contract-to-Hire; Immediate Need!
