About The Job: Rampart Bioscience is currently seeking a Nanoparticle Formulation Library Scientist . You will report to the Director of Nanoparticle Formulation and will be working with our growing team on the development of vehicles to enable delivery of the Company’s non-viral DNA-based gene therapy . You will research, develop, and optimize nanoparticle formulation libraries for various applications that achieve desired properties. Additionally, in this role you will work with others to complete cross-functional projects, such as developing formulation technologies that enable rapid imaging-based screening approaches. The ideal candidate will be highly detail- and task-oriented, have a collaborative mindset, and will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design experiments, analyze data, and create libraries of nanoparticle formulations that can be used for DNA delivery across multiple applications and target organs. Evaluate formulation parameters, nanoparticle characteristics, and assess performance in targeted applications. Iterate on formulation design to achieve desired properties and functionality, such as drug delivery efficiency. Develop formulations and corresponding technologies that enable rapid screening approaches, such as those that utilize advanced imaging techniques. Support scale-up activities, as required. Present results of work at internal meetings. Qualifications/Requirements: A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics or Pharmaceutical Sciences, with more than 2 years of direct experience (may include postdoctoral experience) in design and development of lipid nanoparticle LNP-based, or polymer nanoparticle (PN)-based nucleic acid delivery systems. Expertise in developing liquid, frozen, and lyophilized formulations of lipid based nucleic acid formulations. Expertise and knowledge in scale up of formulation production and purification unit operations and tech transfer activities. An in-depth understanding of all aspects of formulation development as well as downstream characterization including physico-chemical, stability, and biological evaluation. An independent thinker with a passion for developing innovative formulation technologies. Excellent scientific publication, patent, and/or presentation record in the field of lipid nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems. Background in designing assays for screening DNA delivery systems. Knowledge and understanding of PK/PD aspects of lipid nanoparticle-based formulations. Deep k nowledge of design of experiment workflow. Leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Compensation, Benefits & Additional Information Compensation range: $105,000 - $130,000 commensurate with qualifications and dependent on the position.
