About this role: The Music Therapist is part of a team of specialists that provide family-centered services that support and enable families to meet their child’s individual needs through education, training, and support. You will work with families in a hybrid of telehealth and in-person sessions to provide services. While working closely and learning from a team of specialists who are experts in children’s physical, cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and adaptive development. In addition to on-the-job learning, KDC offers professional development activities and training necessary to maintain relevant certifications and licensures. Fee-for-Service position available! In this role, you'll get to: Partner with families to identify each child’s strengths and developmental needs Work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups Provide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progress Complete progress notes and documentation for all visits conducted. This role allows for flexibility in creating your own schedule to visit with families! We are looking for people who have: Current certification as a board-certified Music Therapist by the Certification Board for Music Therapy 300+ hours of experience with children under the age of 5 years old Strong written and verbal communication Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Did someone say BENEFITS ?!
