New Creation Church (NCC) is a new church plant launching this summer in Round Rock, TX. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to serve as our Music Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in music theory and experience leading CONTEMPORARY worship music with a heart for ministry. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Praise and Worship, selecting music, leading rehearsals, growing the team and coordinating with the media department and pastor. Worship services are held on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Website: thenewcreation.churchWe're looking for a Music Director/Worship Leader with the following attributes: Talented vocally and on-pitch with strong musical experience Must play instrument (piano, guitar or drums) Ability to engage and energize audiences Experienced with modern growing churches (not traditional music) preferred Professional music background without strong church experience will be considered A team player with high energy, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated love for God and for people Willing and able to invest time and energy in coaching and developing volunteer worship team members with varying levels of experience and skill Able to maintain confidentiality and present oneself professionally at all times Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team Ability to manage worship team conflict Ability to collaborate with the pastoral team College degree in music or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)What you will do: Lead and direct worship and worship team Audition and select worship team volunteers Prepare weekly selection of worship songs Run weekly rehearsals Manage accompanists and paid musicians (if any) and volunteers Coach and develop volunteer worship team members Lead worship for launch party in May/June timeframeIf you are passionate about leading others in worship and creating a meaningful experience for our congregation, we would love to hear from you.
