The ideal candidate will possess experience in municipal government, although this is not required. They should excel in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and issue resolution. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, client service, and effective management of internal and external relationships with clients and counsel. Duties:Conduct legal research on municipal law issues and provide counsel to clients.Draft and review legal documents, including ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and agreements.Represent clients in municipal court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.Assist in advising municipal clients on land use and zoning matters.Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to develop effective legal strategies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of municipal laws, regulations, and trends.Provide guidance on compliance with local ordinances and regulations.Handle legal matters related to public finance and municipal bonds. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Arizona State Bar or ability to waive in.2-10 years of experience in municipal law or municipal litigation.Strong business and entrepreneurial sense.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical, problem-solving, and issue resolution abilities.Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service.Previous experience in municipal government is a plus. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Arizona State Bar or ability to waive in. Skills:Previous experience in municipal government (preferred but not required).Strong business and entrepreneurial sense.Excellent communication skills.Analytical, problem-solving, and issue resolution abilities.Ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.Commitment to teamwork and client service.Knowledge of land use and zoning laws (preferred).Familiarity with public finance and municipal bonds (preferred).
