Trans-Bridge Lines seeks individuals who possess a positive attitude, accepts scheduling challenges, and has excellent customer service skills. We are unique in the industry by paying our motorcoach drivers FULL DRIVER'S PAY during their layover time. Trans-Bridge Lines also has consistent work year-round. Duties/Responsibilities: Follows a planned bus route to and from various locations to pick up or drop off passengers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of assigned bus. Opens and closes baggage compartment doors. Loads and unloads passenger baggage. Assist passengers on and off the bus when help is needed to ensure passenger safety. Assist disabled passengers on and off the bus, as required by Federal regulations (in some instances, may require assisting in carrying an individual). Collects and accounts for all tickets and cash fares and answers customer questions about bus routes. Announces safety and housekeeping items before each leg of bus trip. Comply with all DOT, Federal and State traffic laws and regulations. Communicates with the dispatch department during route; provide updates to the dispatch department regarding customer counts, emergencies, traffic patterns, or accidents. Reports any mechanical issues with bus such as brakes, steering, air conditioning, or other issues. Interacts with the maintenance department pertaining to such mechanical issues and performs checks as required by maintenance to diagnose causes. Deliver fares and proper paperwork to dispatch when shift is finished. Attend company quarterly meetings and safety meetings. Maintain certifications, licenses, and physicals regulated by DOT, FMCSA, FTA, and any other agencies Trans-Bridge Lines are bound to abide by. Completion of initial training and any ongoing training. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate a bus safely. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Outstanding customer service skills. Punctual to work. Education and Experience: Must be 23 years of age. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain CDL with provided training. Trans-Bridge will train and help obtain CDL, Class A or B, with air brakes and passenger endorsement is. Physical Requirements: Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and DOT physical exam. Prolonged periods of operating the bus. Must be able to assist passengers when needed. Be able to lift 60 pounds and be able to lift 60 pounds at least 14 inches from road level. Must be able to work holidays and weekends when needed.
