We wish to educate children based on the teachings and philosophy of Maria Montessori. We provide materials scientifically developed and designed for self-directed learning.We are seeking someone to assist the lead teachers in caring for children ranging from 1 to 5 years old, implementing a Montessori-based curriculum that the children will respond to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school. Candidate must be good with children ages 1-5, able to handle groups of children, able to maintain a safe environment, able to clean/organize/disinfect, be energetic, and be able to jump in wherever and whenever there's a need.The most important quality we seek out in a teacher is having a heart for children and aligned mission. We offer training and certification opportunities to grow in the field. Duties Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents Assist the lead teachers or lead in creating and implementing activities that are fun and educational for the children Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child Maintain the health and safety of every child in your care Monitor day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks/diaper changes, lunch time and rest time for students Participate in a Montessori assistants certification course Requirements High School Diploma Fingerprint Clearance Card CPR/First Aid certified Cleared TB Test result from within the last 12 months Cleared background check Attend monthly staff meetings Attend trainings for professional development (18 hours per year required by the state) Nice To Haves Experience with children and toddlers in a classroom setting Experience with early childhood Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience in Montessori Montessori assistants certification Benefits Health, dental, vision, and life insurance (full time only) Childcare discount
