Summary ANATOMIC PATHOLOGIST MOLECULAR /GI The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Board-certified Pathologist to join the Department of Anatomic Pathology. This is a full-time position and rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates must have completed a fellowship in Molecular Pathology; and have at least 5 years of Pathology experience in molecular and GI areas of pathology. In addition, the candidate must possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license and be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The ideal candidate must have a focus on diagnostic excellence performing at a standard commensurate with a major academic center. Consistently ranked in U.S. News & World Report "Best Cancer Hospitals" for the past nine years, Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute is a free-standing, not-for-profit cancer center. Moffitt opened on the campus of Tampa's University of South Florida in October 1986 and became Florida's only NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2001. There is vast opportunity within our framework for scientific research as we see over 15,000 new cancer patients each year. The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 20 state-of-the-art operating suites, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high-volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute is comprised of approximately 160 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space. HRI houses information on more than 500,000 unique patients, including treatment information available from the electronic health records and Cancer Registry on more than 200,000 cancer patients, patient-reported data on 150,000 patients, and vast amounts of research and clinical-grade sequencing and expression data on more than 20,000 patients.
