Job Title: Model & Simulation System Integrator Location: Huntsville, AL Position Overview: Candidate will support the Missile Defense Agency's Engineering Simulation program. This position involves hands-on support for MDA's M&S software used to integrate MDS instantiations and present common consistent truth of threats and environments for testing of MDA's tactical systems. Tasks include installation and configuration of the simulation software, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects, and the providing of technical support during various MDA activities. These tasks will primarily be performed in the local government facility but may also require support in various other CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of these tasks, the candidate is expected to adhere to current processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, attend limited meetings, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically. The candidate is expected to be self-sufficient in the execution of these integration responsibilities within six months. Requirements: Working knowledge of the Linux operating system (or other Unix variants) Candidates must comply with the experience, training, and certification upon employment (e.g., Security+, Linux+, etc.) Ability to collaborate in a team environment Strong ability to work independently and perform as part of a team both locally and remotely Strong written and verbal communication skills Data collection, documentation, and reporting on all the above responsibilities as required. Perform other IT duties as assigned to realize mission success. Previous experience with the Missile Defense Agency or ballistic missile defense system Good understanding of Missile Defense System elements or components or equivalent system of system environments Data collection, documentation, and reporting on all responsibilities as required. Perform other duties as assigned to realize mission success Desirable Skills: Experience with hardware/software/network integration Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software defects Experience with missile defense systems, modeling and simulation, and statistical analyst System Test requirements for verification of new capabilities Scenario development support Education and Certification Requirements: BS in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited university and 2-8 years' experience.
