MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR The Bayou Lafourche FreshWater District is acceptingapplications for a MobileEquipment Operator positionlocated in Thibodaux. Hourly wage will commensurate with experience. Job duties include: •Operating and maintaining designed utility barges with hydraulic grappler systems and motorized chainsaws for the purpose of removing fallen trees and debris from the bayou and waters of Bayou Lafourche. •Operating and maintaining marine submerged aquatic vegetation harvesters designed to remove hydrilla and other non-indigenous, exotic species from Bayou Lafourche. •Operating and maintaining small, self-propelled watercraft used as water taxis and for water hyacinth abatement operation. •Operating and maintaining general grounds maintenance equipment such as mowing machines, weed eaters, chainsaws, etc. •Perform general repair of all equipment of the district, such as light engine repair and replacement, troubleshooting and repair of minor electrical systems, welding, etc. •Perform general construction tasks such as light carpentry, building repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc. •Operation and maintenance of motorized vehicles.
