Description SAIC is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer with NRO experience to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customerThis position supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions that advance the NRO's space resiliency postureThe Mission Systems Engineer will work in a collaborative team environment supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, and transition activities to address some of the space community's most challenging problemsResponsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:--- Perform analysis and evaluations of systems and track resulting metrics--- Study and analyze a wide variety of interesting and complex problems--- Assess relevant current and future technologies for insertion--- Evaluate enterprise verification and validation testing--- Review and analyze discrepancy reports--- Assess labor, schedules, and resources required for integrating, testing, validating and transitioning systems--- Capture and document lessons learned and best practices Qualifications--- Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience--- Experience in engineering analysis (collecting, organizing, analyzing data) and/or mission/ops/ground support experience--- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph--- Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills--- Strong written and interpersonal skills--- Modeling and simulation experience using one or more of the following desired: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK--- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadlineCovid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boostersCustomer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
