To know more, please visit our website www. novascotia. ca/nse/ About Our Opportunity As the division’s specialist in Engineering and a subject matter expert in Mining Engineering, you will be responsible for advising, consulting, supervising, planning and coordinating all aspects of engineering plans, polices, procedures and programs. You will focus on environmental protection, relating to mining throughout the province and the application of the Environment Act, associated regulations and other legislation administered by the Department. Primary Accountabilities Within this role, you can also expect to: backss applications, reports, design documents, proposals, plans and specifications on projects with environmental implications, in accordance with the appropriate departmental or divisional operating procedures as it relates to mining projects in the Province. Issue or recommend the issuance of approvals as well as manage the approvals and input of terms and conditions into the appropriate department or divisional electronic information management system.
