Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and innovative Middle School English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty at Holy Cross Academy- Annunciation Campus. As a Catholic institution, we are committed to fostering academic excellence, Faith development, and the holistic growth of our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English education, a deep understanding of 21st-century skills, and a commitment to nurturing critical thinking and collaboration among our students. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging and rigorous English curriculum aligned with grade-level standards and the school's mission. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical inquiry. Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and foster 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and promote cross-curricular connections. Foster a love of reading and writing through literature circles, creative writing projects, and literary analysis. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development as readers, writers, and thinkers. Regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, upcoming assignments, and ways to support learning at home. Job Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field. State certification or licensure in secondary English education. Experience teaching English at the middle school level Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in English education, including literacy instruction, literary analysis, and writing process. Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital resources for teaching and learning. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators. Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school community, including fostering faith formation and character development.
