The ideal candidate will represent borrowers, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, direct lenders, and other investors in a diverse range of debt finance work.Duties:Provide legal counsel and support in various debt finance matters, including acquisition financings, dividend and other recapitalizations, asset-based facilities, general working capital facilities, and debt restructurings/reorganizations.Handle debtor-in-possession financings in the context of debt finance transactions.Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence for client matters.Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to private equity finance.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.3-6 years of substantive leveraged finance experience.Certifications:State Bar admission in Illinois.Skills:Strong understanding of leveraged finance and private equity transactions.Excellent legal research, analysis, and drafting skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Preferred Qualifications:Lender-side experience in middle market transactions.
