The ideal candidate will possess expertise in tax, estate, and trust planning, trust and estate administration, and litigation. They should have exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong academic background, and the ability to proactively anticipate and resolve issues promptly. The candidate must be adept at working collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent legal research, verbal communication, and writing skills.Duties:Conduct legal research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents to support client cases and projects.Draft legal documents, including trusts, wills, and estate plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.Provide legal counsel to clients on matters related to tax planning, estate planning, and trust administration.Represent clients in tax-related disputes, including litigation and negotiation with tax authorities.Assist senior attorneys with complex tax matters and estate planning strategies.Requirements:4-6 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably specializing in tax law.Strong academic background with a JD from an accredited law school.Experience in tax, estate, and trust planning, as well as trust and estate administration.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.High level of attention to detail and solid organizational skills.Prior professional experience and/or an LLM in tax law is a plus.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Utah State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.Additional certification in tax law or estate planning (e.g., LLM) is preferred.Skills:Excellent legal research skills with the ability to analyze complex tax issues.Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a high-stress environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Life, ADD, and long-term disability (LTD) insurance benefits.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for counseling and support services.Enhanced parental leave policies for primary and non-primary caregivers.Automatic Off Ramp/On-Ramp program before and after parental leave.Inclusive fertility and family benefits.Voluntary income protection benefits include supplemental life, accident, critical illness, and long-term care insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.
