The ideal candidate will have borrower-side representation experience, with a preference for those who have worked with private equity sponsors.Duties:Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in private equity finance transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements, loan documents, and other related contracts.Conducted due diligence and assisted with transactional closings.Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex financing matters.Stay abreast of regulatory developments and legal trends relevant to private equity finance.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.Minimum of 2 years of experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.Demonstrated experience in borrower-side representation.Strong preference for candidates with experience working with private equity sponsors.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.Skills:Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
