The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law, particularly in the life sciences sector, and possess the necessary qualifications and skills to excel in litigation. Job Overview:The Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney will play a critical role in handling intellectual property litigation matters, particularly within the life sciences industry. This position requires a proactive approach to client representation, strong legal research and analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Duties:Managing all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, motion practice, and trial proceedings.Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client initiatives within the life sciences sector.Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents for submission to courts and administrative bodies.Collaborating with partners, associates, and support staff to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Counseling clients on intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret litigation, and providing strategic advice for ongoing legal issues. Requirements:Admission to a State Bar is required.Strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework.Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, or Biochemistry is preferred.3-5 years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation.Excellent leadership skills and the ability to take on increased levels of responsibility.Outstanding research and analytical skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases within the life sciences industry. Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to a State Bar. Skills:Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations.Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Client management and relationship-building skills.
