The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience in preparing employment policies and agreements, counseling on employee relations issues, conducting workplace investigations, and possessing knowledge of federal and state labor employment laws. Strong communication, writing skills, and familiarity with anti-harassment training are desired. Duties:Prepare employment policies and agreements.Counsel on employee relations issues such as discipline, termination, accommodation requests, and leaves of absence.Conduct workplace investigations.Provide anti-harassment and other employment training.Handle aspects of litigation including interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances. Requirements:Juris Doctorate degree.Admission to practice law in California.4+ years of relevant experience in employment law counseling and compliance. Education:Juris Doctorate degree. Skills:Knowledge of federal and state labor employment laws.Strong academic credentials.Excellent communication and writing skills.Experience in litigation-related tasks.Familiarity with anti-harassment training. The San Francisco office of this large general practice firm has particularly strong practices in labor and employment, health care, and litigation. Working closely with the firms Los Angeles office, the firms attorneys in San Francisco offer services to a wide variety of clients both in California and nationally.
