The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to deal management, document preparation, knowledge management, legal education, marketing, and client development within the MA practice group. The Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney will play a vital role in supporting the firm's MA practice by assisting with deal management, document preparation, knowledge management, legal education, marketing initiatives, and client development efforts. This role requires strong expertise in MA transactions, excellent drafting and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively. Duties:Input deal terms from signed firm deals into the Transaction Database and coordinate with the knowledge management team to audit and maintain the databasePrepare drafts or revise existing precedent template documentsCurate and organize the MA group's forms, precedents, and other know-howMonitor legal and regulatory developments relative to MA practice and prepare summaries and alerts regarding the sameCoordinate with the legal education team to brainstorm content for associate trainings and other firmwide training efforts related to MAWork closely with the MA marketing team to strategize on MA promotion and assist with content creation for pitches and teach-insAssist attorneys with day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and other resourcesParticipate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projectsHandle multiple ongoing projects, including coordinating with attorneys and other stakeholders Requirements:Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US MA corporate/transactional practiceBasic understanding of public and private MA, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trendsAssociate experience with MA transactions, both public and private, is a transferable skill Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Skills:Strong drafting and organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple ongoing projects and coordinate with various stakeholdersExpertise in MA transactions and corporate lawExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data management Benefits offered:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings account (with applicable medical plan)Health and/or dependent care flexible spending accountsPre-tax commuter benefitsLife insurance and ADD coverageLong-term care coverageBackup care for children and/or adultsParental support benefitsFirm-paid life insurance, ADD, LTD, short-term medical benefitsAccrued vacation time, sick time, and paid holidays Creative lawyering in a laid back environment is big draw for associates at this Amlaw firm.
