About the Role The Mental Health Therapist works with children and their families to set goals and to develop skills that promote growth. The children in the Children’s Day Program (CDP) are in grades three to six and experiencing severe challenges managing or regulating their emotions and behavior. The therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy along with school liaison and clinical support. The program is delivered in partnership with Edmonton Public Schools. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Mental Health Therapist works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure success in the area of clinical service delivery. The Mental Health Therapist provides timely mental health backssment and treatment to children. They adhere to the code of ethics and practice standards of their specific discipline, and apply the principles of evidence-informed practice to all aspects of this work.
