Required to provide documentation during Onboarding process . Mission: to support adults living with mental illness on their paths to recovery while ending social and economic isolation. Seacoast Pathways is a peer community that provides a place for purposeful work, meaningful relationships, and wellness that fosters mental health recovery.Founded in 2009, Granite Pathways began as a grass-roots initiative that introduced the "clubhouse" model in New Hampshire, an evidence-based, self-help community, aimed at eliminating isolation and providing hope, dignity, and recovery options for adults with mental illness.The Granite Pathways of today is a multi-faceted, statewide organization that provides an array of services for those struggling with mental illness or substance use disorders.Granite Pathways joined The Fedcap Group in 2016. Seacoast Pathways is a program of Granite Pathways. Job Title: Mental Health Recovery Worker Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Type: Part-Time, Schedule: Monday and Friday 9:00 A.M.- 3:30 P.M.; However Wednesday 9:00 A.M.- 4:30 P.M. Position Summary: The mental health recovery generalist provides psychosocial recovery to adults with serious mental illness, in accordance with the Clubhouse Model standards of Clubhouse International (www.clubhouse-intl.org). The mental health recovery generalist helps members meet their needs for employment, housing, education, socialization, structure, and stability in accordance with the model and standards of Clubhouse International. This is not a desk job or a case management position. Program participants, called members, are volunteers involved in doing everything necessary to run their own program (admin., cooking, cleaning, events, etc.). Generalists work hands-on alongside the participants doing the same tasks side-by-side. Essential Job Functions: Enthusiastically lead and facilitate groups of members in work units (Membership, Business, Kitchen, Employment/Education) at the Clubhouse doing everything involved in operating the program while modeling a strong work ethic. Generate member interest and encourage engagement in participation in all aspects of the work ordered day. Assist with internal and external employment and educational programs. This may include training and working alongside members at their place of employment as part of job development (Transitional Employment). Utilizing a strength-based approach to help members set and achieve personal, career and wellness goals. Take a leadership role in ensuring positive outcomes in the member's lives. Identify/use community, healthcare, and social service resources that promote member well-being, independence, and personal satisfaction. Encourage peer-to-peer relationships and facilitate/promote pro-social interaction amongst members. Conduct outreach activities at community organizations to increase membership and visibility. Provide leadership with members in relationship to Clubhouse mission and goals. Learn about and uphold standards of the Clubhouse model. Participate with members and staff in a collaborative community consensus decision-making process. Encourage members to take leadership roles. Staff clubhouse social and recreational programs. Flexibility to work occasional weekend, evening, and holiday hours required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Associate's, BA/BS or equivalent preferred but not necessary: social work, psychology, education, occupational therapy, human services, behavioral health or related field One year working with adults with mental illness or other relevant experience. An understanding of mental illness and the principles of human development. Previous clubhouse experience is beneficial; Clubhouse International training (2-week colleague training) will be provided within one year of hire. Trained as a Certified Employment Specialist (with Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) training -- if not, this may be included in training within one year of hire Serve-Safe certified -- if not this may be included in training upon hire. Proficiency in MS Office software applications, google drive, social media platforms, electronic medical records-- competency in general computer usage. Knowledge of or experience with co-occurring substance use disorders is beneficial. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
